The War of Liberation in Narsingdi Sadar History


Historical events Satish Pakrashi was imprisoned for 20 years for direct involvement in the swadeshi movement. On 5 April 1971, three persons were killed on the spot and hundreds of shops were burned to ashes by a rocket bomb of the Pak army. A number of skirmishes were held between the freedom fighters and the Pak army at Panchdona and Madhabdi. Narsingdi was liberated on 12 December.

History Of The War Of Liberation in Raipura Upazila

History of the War of Liberation In 1971 the Pak army established their camp in the present Upazila Bhaban and conducted mass killing and torture in the upazila; they also set many houses on fire. The freedom fighters destroyed a number of bridges and culverts of the upazila in order to disrupt communication of the Pak army. Raipura upazila was liberated on 12 December.
